I just completed another hardware spec. Like every hardware spec I’ve done in the past six years, I spent a while tweaking CPU, memory and disk. I could spend an entire day playing with the various RAID configurations for performance versus cost. If I add lots of spindles to a system, I increase performance, but also drive up cost dramatically.
There’s nothing glamorous about hardware.
I've been making an effort to write more and put it up on Channel Insider. So you'll get a double dose of my rants and raves as I link to them over there.

The discussion led to a blog post, which I'll quote a little here...
We both were down at the HTG meetings, and he was presenting the Project Nimbus results to a packed room of my HTG colleagues.

I'm going to go off topic here, but it's my blog and I can do what I want. If you don't like it, I'll refund what you paid me for reading it.
Next week is the ConnectWise Partner Summit.
